Quite the contrast in weather.
Hunting huns with my older lab early morning before it got hot.
Well hot for an Alaskan, I was in a T-shirt by 10am.
Then this morning, with my 10-month old and our first Montana snow!
With snow, my daily Montana solo hunts change.
Normally I like to hunt from dawn to noon, with the best hunting that first hour.
But crunchy snow announces my arrival to roosters from a great distance.
So I wait until the sun and temperatures soften the snow so solo hunting I can be more quiet
and hunt late afternoon with best hunting around sunset.
