Champ's NAVHDA Test- NA

On Friday the Keystone Chapter of NAVHDA held day one of a 3 day test and I ran 10 month old Champ in the NA test. This was my first time doing anything with NAVHDA and it was a very enjoyable day. The grounds of the York Pointer Setter Club were nice and all the chapter members were very helpful (and the judges, too). Champ ran well, tracked well and swam without a problem. He got a prize I with a score of 112. It was a very good day!

Enjoy the pictures!

Champ is now sleeping on the couch after working hard today. Really looking forward to the fall hunting season now. Next up for October is one youth hunt and a Pollinator Habitat Project I'm putting together with PF, a local club and my son's school.

That's awesome! I don't think anyone here that's been following Champs progress had any doubts. It seems like just yesterday he was a tiny ball of fur.
Did the judges give you any tips on what he needs to work on?

I'll bet your hooked now!

They didn't offer much in the way of tips but they did say he has the talent to go far. I just don't know if I'll have the time to do all the duck work and other training. Maybe if I hit the lotto jackpot I can quit work and find the time.
