Can you help with what's in the crop

wheat or barley
 
Looks like puffed wheat, similar to the Honey Smacks cereal I used to eat when I was a kid.

Yea, It's a wheat berry. I think old timers soaked the grains, then dried them for storage, but I don't remember why, but they called them berries. But strange time of year for them..
