Desire a 6 night stay in a motel located in the NW portion. Will be hunting alone, therefore would like to have my dogs in the room with me. Give me something to have a conversation with. Lol

Pm and I will provide you with the name of the town that I would like to stay in.

First time in iowa.

Thx

I was going to suggest the South T in Spencer. Stayed there a few a years back. Nothing fancy but you could back right up to the door and was dog friendly, but a quick google search shows the motel is now a pile of rubble. The Reston Inn allows dogs, but charges a ridiculous amount for them, and you only access your room through inside hallways, so I spent my trip making it look like I only had one dog that I told them about vs spending another $30/night for the second dog. And it wasn’t like it was that nice of a place to justify charging that much for dog(s) which is why I haven’t been back to that one. When I was planning a trip to stay in spencer, or anywhere in that area, dog friendly hotels were in short supply.

Spirit Lake area would be your best choice. Lots of lodging during the summer is largely empty this time of year.

There’s a nice smaller motel in Milford.

I will look into that place in Milford. I will be in South Dakota the next 5 days and then on my way home I decided that I might stop in Iowa and maybe hunt for a few days as an exploratory trip. That's assuming the three dogs and I hold up after 5 days of hunting. I'm not sure who's older my senior dog or me. LOL
