Brush pants with zipper legs

I have a pair of sjk brush pants. They are getting close to retirement after 2 or 3 seasons.

They aren't the most resistant to briars when new and get kind of fuzzy and less protective over time. However, they have decent pockets, and I like that they have zippers at the bottom of the legs, on the sides, and are NOT TAPERED, so I can easily get them over my muck boots.

I can't find these available anywhere. I think I got them at fleet farm originally.

Does anyone know of a brand of this style of brush pants that has zippers in the legs?

Thanks.

These are spendy. But these two pairs of pants are the best clothing purchase I have ever made. I do wear cheap field and stream brush pants as well, but they're heavy, not stretchy, and hold moisture from damp or frosty mornings. I started wearing my First Lite pants mid-season and won't go back. The Corrugate ones are unlined, the Catalyst ones have a cozy fleece liner. I wore the Catalyst pants for a week straight on my MT mule deer hunt in November. They're a couple years old now with no rips, worn knees, or lessened moisture prevention. However the one thing they have not seen are thorns. First Lite gear seems to be hit or miss as far as what my personal hope for the piece of gear was, but these two items have been awesome.

I've been wearing a pair of Cabelas chaps for about 20 years. Helps when the grass is wet or frosty and comes close to warming my legs as much as a pair of long johns. Then I can take them off midday or so when it warms up

Chaps are the ticket. Most have full length zippers and you can wear as warm of as comfortable pants you want underneath. Plus if you have to stop at a wedding or a funeral (some would argue... same thing) after hunt you just down the zipper and off they come and you can have your Sunday go to meeting pants underneath.

Bought my son a pair of Frost River chaps. They have heavy duty snaps. Zippers always seem to ride up. I wear Filson tin chaps no zippers or snaps but gotta take boots off and on.

I like captains idea. Chaps are warm (waxed canvas are very warm), if you break for lunch, they are easy to slip off, as many have full length zippers. For me chaps are almost like wearing my boots....only once this year did I hunt with out them....had some Cabela's jeans with nylon fronts that warm day....it doesn't seem right without them.

I too am a chaps guy. Plus, depending on how weird the wedding gets, you can swap the pants for the chaps later on in the evening.

If you want heavy duty full length zippers, check out the Stone Creek chaps. I believe those zippers were borrowed from the space shuttle's headliner. Those zippers have a lifetime warranty...which the space shuttle didn't have.

I have a pair of pants that are scheels branded that fit most of your requirements with the exception being the zippers only go up to about the knee instead of all the way up.
That said I wear chaps 95% of the time, just going to the pants when it’s raining or snowing.
You might also check out dans or mule branded clothing lines. I think both offer some pants that would be along the lines of what you’re after.

I wore WOW,(Wick Outdoor Works), chaps for 40+ years, & still do occasionally. My go to now is: I bought 2 pair of nylon faced Walls pants at Gabe’s for $10 each. I had my canvas guy put heavy knee high YKK zippers in them for another $12 each. If it is wet/snowy I wear gaiters over them. If it is cold, or really nasty thorns & briars, I wear chaps over them. I have hunted Florida in shorts with WOW snake chaps.
