Brush pants with zipper legs

Dan’s also makes pants & bibs that have no canvas or denim, these are solid nylon & are briarproof. These are made in SE Ohio, in Amish country, probably by Amish. Ruffed grouse or raccoon hunting in Appalachia is way tougher than any place I have hunted in the plains states, or MI, or WI, or Ontario. Also way tougher than in the South. Greenbriar patches of 400 square feet, & head high. Blackberry patches & Thornapple. Wild rose bush, Occasionally multiflora rose. No cactus or sand burrs though. Very tough clothing. If you are worried about moisture, treat them with clear urethane, not a teflon type spray
Looks like I might have ordered the wrong ones. I ordered the ones that had the 1000 denier nylon going all the way up the front, assuming those were the toughest. It looks like they used canvas on the back side of those pants, not nylon. I guess we'll see how they hold up over time.

The ones that are the typical mix of 400 denier and 1000 denier don't have the 1000 denier going all the way up in the front for some reason.

I can't do bibs, due to the heat factor.

I have used this stuff before. It isn't magic for the types of fabrics we are talking about, but it can provide some level of water resistance (causes water to bead up a bit).

I soak things in the sink, according to the mixing directions and then put them in the drier on medium, according to the directions. If you later use the washing machine, it will reduce the effect. But I don't generally need to wash my brush pants, unless I get in some stinky slough water.

Might not be what you are looking for, but I have been wearing Cabela's Instinct Upland pants for 3 years now, still on the same pair. They do not have zippered legs though. I'm sure you could get them installed.
I have yet to be poked, picked, scratched, thorned, briared in them yet. I bought 1 pair, they fit so damn well that I bought a second pair as a backup. They are comfortable, light yet heavy if that makes sense, warm yet cool too. They have side zippered vents on the legs for air. I have worn them September thru March in Wisconsin and both Dakotas. They only tear I have in them was from a hidden chunk of barbed wire that I didn't see. Sewed that up and all good.
You can move in them. Even with the temps the end of last week in SD, I didn't need any layer underneath them. I also wear gaiters too, so I'm sure I've saved some wear and tear on them near the boot tops. I've been very impressed with them. Same goes for their Upland Prairie Runner jacket.

Those look really comfortable. I read some things about burrs sticking to them, but under brush pants or chaps, that shouldn't be a problem.
