Boots , what ya like?

Hunted in some Salomon Quest boots this year and really liked them. Always wanted some Mendls but never bought any. I have some Irish Setters that I usually hunt in, but I’m having a plantar fasciitis flare and just couldn’t walk in them. The Salomons were good to go.

Crispi or Kenetrek, both are great boots. They are both spendy but will last multiple years with proper care.

I have boots from Lowa, Schnee's, Muck, Sorel, Zamberlain, Dryshod, Bass Pro and Irish Setter and most of the time I wear the Irish Setter Wingshooter boots when bird hunting. They are xtremely comfortable for my feet. I prefer/need a higher, all leather boot for my pathetically weak ankles. I have pair of Muck lace up upland boots that they used to make, which are great boots for late season.

I have my boots figured out. Some are great for elk hunting but not bird hunting. Too stiff. Some are great for walking the dogs but don't provide enough support for side hilling or stepping in holes. Some are great for deer hunting and sitting in tree stands but too heavy and warm for anything else and my tall, rubber boots are great for working around the house in tick and chigger season to keep the MF'r's from going up my pant legs.

I’ve been wearing a new pair of Crispi Upland pro and loving them. today I put on my pair of red wings that i’ve always worn, and wow they feel terrible after wearing the crispis

Looks like Crispi upland pro is out of stock every place, even direct from Crispi. $300 on sale most places

I had ankle surgery about a year and a half ago. I was running Crispi and was genrally happy with them. The time came for anew pair of Insulated boots. I tried on Kenetrek and bought them. So far they seem more comfortable and stable than my Crispis.

I'm still using my leather Irish Setter Wingshooters for most of my bird hunting. They are comfortable, give me the ankle support I need and haven't leaked yet. Hard to beat for the price.
