Blaze Orange

I do apologize for the "troll" comment. It just seemed odd to me. Growing up pheasant hunting in SD, blaze orange has always been a staple. I would never recommend pheasant hunting without it. Like I said, it doesn't matter how safe you are......it is everyone else, whether you are hunting with them or not.

I have hunted without it once. My cousin and I were in Kansas last January, midweek and barely any hunters out. The first day and a half every bird was flushing 80-100 yards out on us. We tried taking off our orange and it made an immediate difference. Birds were all flushing in range, although we subsequently missed most of them. We did carry hats for when we encountered brush or woods.

This is a person I hunt all of the time with and we are both extremely safe. He was actually a DNR firearm safety instructor for a number of years.

My point is that the birds definately did spot the orange and become way more spooky.
 
Yes I can asure you that the birds do spot the blaze orange and flush eariler or fly off away from you. But that is why they call it hunting. If it was easier or a garentee that you would get all your birds they would call it "getting" instead. No bird no matter what is worth shooting some one or at some one for in my opinion.
