Bike-N-Run with the dogs.

I took the dogs and my old mountain bike out for some good exercise today. I stayed in an area that has a creek and some ponds so the dogs could stay cool. Driving down the road I saw that some hedgerows were taken out making some of the smaller fields bigger. The heavy rains from last night had the creek running a little higher than yesterday when I took the boys up to the area to play in the water.

After riding for a little, I got off the bike to check out the pond area. This sign has been around for quite a few years now.

Blitz was glad to have some water to play in.

Since Champ is younger, he has more excitement!

I took the dead fowl along and Champ did some retrieves while we were out.

Even old Nittany was having some fun.

Then it was time to make our way back to the truck. It was a good workout for all of us and it was nice to get the dogs out in a different area. Don't make fun of my old bike, it's old enough to have a drink!

I remember getting this bike when I was 19 and 22 years later it still gets the job done. But for some reason it doesn't go up the hills as fast as it used to.

Heck, your bike looks a lot better than my Schwinn that is only about 6 years old. Looks like a cool place to run the dogs. I run my Brittany with my bike but we don't have any place like that to go. We are relegated to the bike paths with her on a lead. Although she does 6.5 miles in 30 minutes.

Nice report, looks like the boys had a lot of fun. The pup fits right in now with the big guys!
Hey...I still have my ole Stingray, with the high rise handlebars and bananna seat, not really, but I still think about it. That's much before your time young man! :)

I like it. Gosh it looks all original. Not only do those old bikes not go up the hills as fast as they used to but I also think the hills get steeper every year too. lol.

For one of my bikes I have added bags on the rear, headlamps, and painted it camo. Its now my turkey hunting machine.
