Best watering hole and other entertainment in NW ks

There is a saloon in Wakeeney on N Main St. just north of the RR tracks that has excellent steaks and dinners. Its kinda a cool place.

The WaKeeney place is real nice with beautiful paintings as well. There are also Tropps and Cowboy Junction in Hill City, Meridy's in Russell, the Hind Quarter in Downs or Cawker City, City Lights in Colby, and Prairie Junction in Morland (beer only).

What place is this and where is it? Thanks.

Big Ed's in Bird City, KS. One of the best steaks you will get anywhere. You know it is good when farmers/ranchers in Nebraska are driving there to eat!

Sorry boys, I didn't catch the NW/KS thing..carry on:laugh::nutz:

I hope to try Big Ed's sometime.

Tina's in Plainville is usually a good time. Good steaks and libations. It is on "main street" Not hard to find. Ask for a "red beer."

if you make it to gove county stop at the main street dugout it has the best homemade pizza and the coldest beer around oh wait it has the only beer in the county

There was a bar in Mcdonald, KS. Had the best prime rib, Lamb fry's, fried biscuits and ice crystals in your beer mug!!!! Damn ,I miss that place!!!!!!!!!!:cheers:

the bar that serves food in WaKeeney was a major disappointment last season, we waited 3 hours for our food and finally told them to shove it...i will be eating in Hays from now on, only 30 miles away and lots of GOOD restaurants there that will serve you.
