Couple bobs mixed in, but yes other than that a blues! Or scaledAre those scaled quail? Nice shooting
We almost canceled due to the wind forecast, it was blowing 20-30 right out the gate, switched to the north at 11 am and dropped 15 degrees in minutes.. no clue how many shells we shot but at 2 pm it was blowing 40 and we called it a day. Shot good as a group and had fantastic dog work on dead’s and cripples. Fantastic property!Thin them rascals out before a hard winter does it for you. How many are on the platform? I have to imagine they are much tougher to hit than pheasants...about 4 or 5 boxes of shells for that mess? Or more? That must have taken all day. I see that and just imagine myself shooting maybe 20% and being out of shells every 15 minutes!
Full disclosure that’s my friends dog, my first setter should be born any day! Currently have some German dogs. Those are boots from motorcycle inner tubes, really effective on grass burs burs… Lewis are a good bootNice work. You have the right kind of dog there. What is that under the duct tape for the boots. Looks kind of like pool table felt. I’m learning all this desert hunting stuff. I’ve got some lewis boots and vet wrap, duck tape. We, the dog and I are heading to Arizona when the weather looks good. I’m a little apprehensive about this type of hunting. Mainly worried about snakes. I don’t do well with snakes. We can deal with the cactus, rocks, spiders whatever. If I see or hear of a snake I’m out of there and not going back.
