Beretta 12ga silver pigeon field with 26 or 28" barrels

I prefer longer barrels. Been using my 28 gauge this week in SD with 32” barrels. My 16 gauge Rizzini has 29”. Some is personal opinion. Some guys like 26” but for me they seem too whippy. Had a 20 gauge I moved along to someone new as I just couldn’t shoot it. Good luck.

I believe that there’s a sporting variant and a field variant. The sporting guns dent have longer barrels and are heavier. I would get one with removable chokes vs. fixed choked. And then the side plates have different designs. SP 1 has a scroll pattern and SP 3 has a game scene. I’d imagine you can get different grades of wood sets too. I like the 28” barrel. And you can get the stock cast for left or right handed shooting.

Just say NO to 26" ...... for me,,, never again,,, To wippy , dont swing well

Love both my 28" beretta O/Us..... 12 and 20 ga

Barrel length is really a personal preference. I think you will find most guys prefer 28" tubes in an O/U. Personally, I have always prefer shorter barrel and shoot my 16 ga. Citori with 26" barrels very well.
