I went Saturday of youth season. Saw one nice covey of quail, 4 or so roosters, lots of extremely heavy cover, as consistent with everywhere else in Missouri, the age group of birds seems like 2 year olds. Highly educated, running way out ahead of us, 1/4 mile across picked bean fields. But there are birds. Read my post of youth day for more detail.
