Badlands camping for birds

Anyone camp in the badlands to chase grouse? It seems like it would be a cool trip to camp in the badlands and hunt sharpies.
 
Yes I have camped in the Little Missouri National Grasslands in a VW self contained camper in 1982. It was great. We camped right in the middle of where we hunted.
 
I did two years ago off exit 18 at a state campground. Showers were still on and had it all to ourselves (first week of Oct). Last week we stayed at a hotel in Sydney MT for $70.00 a night I would highly recommend. Only about 20 miles from the grasslands and we got into birds every day, LOTS of cactus so beware of that for the dogs but great hunting.
