Hi Folks- My first time on the forum. Despite writing my book , Dakota Pheasant & Iowa too! ( have 8 others but this is the only pheasant book), I am no expert or a 'dead shot Charlie Know-it-all. I have missed my share of birds and still continue to do so. Missed a helluva easy shot in So Dak just a few days ago off my pointing G. Retriever. I have no favorite breed of dog so can spare some arguments there. Its the training that makes a good dog- my opinion. I do Favor Dakota and Nthrn Iowa however. I am on my 4th Golden so that can add up to about 40 plus years of hunting- mostly in Dakota.
