Thanks Dan! Tuesday- windy, freezing drizzle made for tough hunting. Each spot is hit or miss. We got 4 today. 1 in a standing corn strip, 2 in a tree line and one in a small slough all pointed birds. Snowing hard now. Tomorrow should be interesting. Our last day! It's been great!

Bob, sorry we were unable to connect today. We skated on ice out to your area. Had private land to hunt. Plenty of birds but they are wild and really know how to flush just out of range. Our shooting was not the best plus we lost two cripples. Scenting conditions didn't seem to be the best. Two of us ended up with 4 birds. Should have been a limit. With the snow coming in along with 35 mph winds I think we will just hunker down at my house tomorrow then head on again on Thursday.

No worries Zeb. Today was one of those days a field that will be etched forever. After the snow last pm the birds were in the sloughs all day today. With temps at 15 degrees and 35 mph winds who would want to venture out?
With my ski mask on, we pushed into the wind and the birds held tight. Point after point, many hens but we got out 6 bird limit with ease. I love the day after a big snow. Birds get a little disoriented in my opinion and are easier to get at as they are bunched up in the most protective cover.
A great trip, now onto Sioux City, Iowa to get my new pup!
