Anybody?

As we are entering into the last month of the season, how many of you guys go coyote hunting after the closing weekend? I try to get out to help with the predator population and was curious if anyone else did too.

A co-worker recently offered to try and call in a coyote for each of the boys. While I was cutting wood with a local landowner a couple weeks ago, he assured me there were yotes all over his land and said, "Shoot all those ya want!"

If we find we like it, we've got section after section of land "back home" to chase the silly things on. Another friend of mine has taken 12 on traps so far this season. He's also had to dispatch 3 skunks in the process and man does his truck stink at work everyday:D

Cabellas had their rebranded foxpro on sale the other day for cheapish so I picked it up with some birthday cash. Now I've got to figure out what to do with it.

Got into a couple years ago, got a brother in-law that's pretty serious about it. I usually go a couple times a year and have had pretty good luck. Got a critter mo-jo and an electronic caller that I use. It's pretty exciting when you call one in. Will go a couple times in February this year.

Never have tried it, there are plenty around here to hunt though. Once the shotguns get put up I might get out for a rabbit hunt if we get some snow but other than that I try and get in a little fishing before baseball season starts. Once that gets going all my free time is tied up with one or the other of my two boys at a ball field somewhere.

Glad to hear I'm not the only guy around getting out a few times. I have a foxpro spitfire and try my hand at a little yote hunting. Like anything else takes time and effort. I consider it my bonus hunting season while I wait for spring turkeys.

Having a coyote (or cat) charging at under 10 yards is a rush. Best day a couple years ago we called in 7 and got 4 killed.
