I hunted Leoti Sun. 'n Mon. of the second weekend. The wiha I hunted had been hit pretty hard and the birds were already skittish and getting wise. "I" didn't see huge #'s of birds, but the grandson and I managed to bag half our limit behind a cpl labs.
I know you said Scott city, but I want to "plug" for the "High Plains" motel in Leoti. They are "dog friendly", even provide dog dishes for the room!
We had a double occupancy room, it was $76 p/ night. BUT.... they include breakfast and supper! Eggs to order, choice of meats, hashbrowns, toast and coffee/juice, or pancakes, or french toast, or cereal!... :thumbsup:
Dinner consisted of a taco bar on Sunday night and sloppy joes with condiments and side dishes on Monday. Granted, it ain't rib-eyes, but "good" home style cooking and fantastic hosts. I'm sure it saved me a minimum of $30 p/day in meals. Something to consider if you're watching the budget..:cheers:

I've been hunting around there since 1973 or so. While I hunt private land I can say that on average, the hunting is very good. Like anyplace else, weather and such play a roll but I've always had a fine time.
