Any new gear planned for next year?

What kind of new gear are you hoping to get for next season?

How about reviews for new products you bought for this season wrapping up?

I am planning on getting a new jacket for next year as well as getting a beeper collar for my setter pup..

I just bought a Cabelas Birdn Lite Belt and am pretty jacked about it for early sharpie hunting and carrying water bottles for the dogs while training. I also want to buy a new vest but have not decided on which one to go with. I too want to buy a new beeper collar, I have a sport dog one now and it works fine but would like to get the new TriTronics one it looks like it will stay in place better on the dogs neck.

I got a Wing Works strap vest this year, a new pair of boots, and a new shotgun. The vest is incredible and I really like it so far (5 days in the field). The boots still need some breaking in but I think they will end up being a good purchase. The shotgun was new to me (used) but was one of the highlights of the season! It is a Franchi 612vs gas semi auto and performed flawlessly all season, now I need to perform better.

I am trading up on my ecollar this spring as my controller is having some issues and I like the features on a different model. A new pair of chaps will be needed by next fall and I have my eye on a pair of Filson's. The only other thing I need to do before next season is shoot more trap and sporting clays and get my puppies training started!

After a couple years of use, I have finally decided to have my SXS opened up. Sent it to the smith last week. It came from the factory IC/Mod. While acceptable, I have just found it to be too much choke for my style of hunting. Having her opened up to Skeet 1/Skeet 2.

Truth be told, by switching components, I'm relatively certain that I could tighten her back up to IC/Mod should I want to. The more open chokes will sure be nice in the grouse woods though.

I got a new filsons original vest this year and its great, should last a long time. I also just ordered a pair of Russell mocasin boots that will be ready around June. All I need for next year is a lighter vest for warm weather and a new pair of brush pants. I'm also in the market for a new truck, I would like a 4x4 tacoma.

It will be my first dog. I was thinking lab to use as a dual purpose duck and upland dog, and the first dog I took hunting and actually saw flush and retrieve dang near to hand was a 10 year old black lab with so little training she barely knew the word here. But she was a good dog and ever since that day I've wanted a black lab.

I've pretty much settled into what is perfect for my hunting. If you follow this recipe you will kill birds.

Either mine or the wifes truck, GMC/Chevy extcab/crew cab, z71
