Sorry Beaker, didn't want to hijack your thread, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
From Colorado, hunt with flushing labs, train for retriever hunt tests, no trials, although may try a derby. Like all of us here, love hunting upland birds, as well as waterfowl and archery. Dogs and pheasants take first priority though. Hunt everywhere, from southern Colorado to Montana to the Dakotas and KS and NE.
I wish a good year to all. Look forward to the discussions all year long! Thanks!

no worries, your thread about "range" and bobeyerite's response is what finally got me onboard

Welcome to the UPH, I hope all my posts help you as much as the "range" did. Thank you.....Bob

Welcome to the site! Looking forward to hearing about your adventures.

Thanks fellas!

After putting down my black lab, I now have a 1 year old yellow lab, obviously his first year- so that alone makes it special for me. I love reading about everyone else's hunts! I think it is what keeps me sane while at home or work.

Yes, all the "range" comments are awesome. So often it is easy to get tunnel vision with your own dog and "your own" way of doing things you can really learn a lot from others.

kickthemup- I have a sister that lives in Overland Park. I love that part of KS. The Plaza is a fun place also!
