Another rescue may not leave the house...

As many of you know, I assist the North Texas GSP Rescue organization and picked this guy up yesterday. This is Colt and he was an owner surrender. 2-3 years old small frame GSP. He weighs in at 40#'s. But is birdy and very athletic. Started working him today. Hope he makes it.

If I remember right you had one heck of a run with a rescue a few years ago. Good luck and god bless you for what you do.

You are correct, my boy Taz was a rescue and turned out to be a machine. Hopefully he will also be a good teacher. He will be 11 years old and his patience with the new youngster is being stretched.

Thank you for helping dogs. Colt looks like everything you'd want in a bird dog - intelligent face and a perfect size for long days hunting the big open range. He likes you already and I'll bet he turns out great. My current Brit, my second ever bird dog, is a rescue. He's a dandy hunter and house pet.

Well, now Colt has a large number of "uncles," all of whom will be wanting regular reports on his progress, and YOUR learning curve. :)

Neat. Mick, and Young Bert, the not-right dog, and I are each applauding you in our own, respective, ways.

Colt has taken the role of big brother for my new pup Jax. Here he is watching the FB game. Started collar conditioning on him last week. He's going to be a good one. Can retire Taz, and bring Jax and Colt up together.
