American Brittany Puppies - Males Available in Washington

We have 3 males available from our current liter who were born on 1/1/25. All puppies are orange & white and have had their dew claws removed and tails docked. Puppies are from health tested parents and the Sire and Dam are both OFA good and have their CHIC #'s. They are from champion bloodlines, hunting backgrounds and both parents compete in hunting events and are regulary hunted.

We raise our puppies in our home and around my other Brittanys so they are a part of everyday life. We introduce them to crates, bird wing/scent at 5 weeks of age as well as outdoors (weather depending) and live birds between 5-8 weeks. In addition to being raised in our home, they are socialized with other people as well while being raised so that they have a good foundation for you to start with. These puppies will make great all around field, show and companions and will have great drive.

Puppies will come with their AKC registration papers, micro-chipped, first shots including Parvo, dewormed, health certificate from our veternarian, and their go home puppy pack.

About the sire- Blitz is an amazing go getter. Good on birds and is a Master Hunter, great in the ring and working on obedience. He’s an amazing all around dog. Consistent ABC top 20 dog, Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show winner, Westminster Kennel Club breed winner, multiple group placer and winner and received an Award of Merit at this year’s National Specialty Show. He’s got good type, square, up on leg with good movement, and stong bird drive.

About the dam- Riese is an amazing all around dog with a high drive. Good on birds, great in the ring and working on her field titles. She is currently the number one bitch in breed, a consistent ABC top 20 dog, WKC invite recipient 3 times, BOS at Westminster Kennel Club 2x, group placer, and received an Award of Merit at the 2023 ABC National Specialty Show. She has good type, square, up on leg with good movement and stong bird drive.

I ask that if you are interested in getting one of the boys, please fill out my puppy questionnaire and you can learn more at www.campbellsbrittanys.com. I ask for a deposit of $300 to reserve a puppy with final payment due at pickup. I provide weekly updates on the puppies and once they are evaluated at 8 week and I know who is going to competition homes vs. pet homes, your puppy will be determined and then can go home around March 1st.

Nice looking dogs, but that pedigree is loaded with bench champions. Not a field champion in the bunch. It's not that these dogs can't hunt and be good in the field. For hunting and/or field trialing I'd be looking for a background with field champs or at least dual champions. I'm not trying to stir the pot here or rain on your parade. It's just that this is a hunting web site and most on here would be looking for pups more out of field stock.

Sire is a Master Hunter as well as quite a few others have hunt test titles, even if not on this pedigree. Dam has her puppy and derby FT points and is headed out to the field for spring trial season. Both dogs and their grandparents have competed in hunting events and are hunted every fall for pheasant and quail.

Brittany's are known for dual champions and bench champions that can hunt.

As a HUNTER who has owned and hunted behind Brittanys for 40+ years .... I am not so sure I want a whole lot of AKC field trial blood in my Brittany if it is big running horseback trials. Plenty of AKC Brittany breeders where dogs have only run on set birds ... if you are intending to run trials ... different story.

Years ago, I trained with some of these guys. The dog I had at the time impressed them a bunch, but I was not overly impressed by these guys.

The Hunt Tests are nice for assessing a breeding dogs ability to hunt and be handled. The dog is judged against standard expectations.

Every Brittany I have owned was a natural pointer and whoa was just a way to maybe get them to figure out that holding point was the right thing to do. Every Brittany I have owned had a solid nose (ability to find birds) and drive (desire to hunt hard and search for birds). I will also say every dog I started I finished. Many a trial guy goes through many a dog to get that title dog.

Brittanys are the only bird dog I have owned (my dad did not have bird dogs) and likely the only breed I will ever own.

Brittman makes some excellent points. There are a lot of dual champion Brittanys. And some field trial dogs don't always make good hunting dogs, and vice versa. That's why you must do your homework before selecting a pup.
