Good Sharptail hunting. Plenty of young birds.
It was morning hunting only, got very hot in the afternoon.

These are young Sage Grouse. Very easy to find this year. I took a couple for camp meat, good eating so I got a couple more.

Thanks Y'all. I'm glad I'm taking the time to take pics these days. Wish I would have been doing it all along.

Ruff Ruff my old lab goes along on trips still but he is retired. Stays in the truck. Breaks his heart and mine cause he still wants to hunt. He has a handicap ramp to get in the truck Turned 14 last March. At 90 pounds. Ruff Ruff has done a lot of hunting both upland and waterfowl.

Cooper is a Vizlador. Half Vizsla half Lab. 6 year old and a super athlete does real well even in hot weather. I know:cheers: brag about your dog:) but I doubt there's a better all around dog then Copper.

what a great combination...vizsla and lab! I have a buddy who has a couple of Vizslas and they are great dogs! I have a lab who is just average...really doesn't get enough days in the field to get really good...especially with the wild SD roosters! :)
Does Cooper point?

Boomer, Cooper for sure lets me know if there's birds in the cover or not. Got a great nose. Does cover a lot of ground, in sparse cover. All he wants to do is find birds. Does best in the tall stuff. Anyway will stop, look, check things out, then, pounces, kind of funny! It's like [for good reason] doesn't trust my shooting. Not a pointer.

UGUIDE, Thanks for that, Truly is a lot more to my trips these days then the kill. I do take it all in. And I do wish that for ALL hunters.
