9:05 Limit

My son and I had our limit killed at 9:05 this morning. A little short of our goal which was 9:00 am. Dog found all 8 and had to hunt hard for one cripple. The rest were all folded dead by Kent Fast Lead 6's. I actually missed the 2nd bird I shot at. Only had 1 shell in the chamber. Got to take that plug out from dove season. My 18 yr old never missed a shot. Well time to clean birds and eat breakfast.

Well done. Limits out here take full days & lots of miles (no wonder I'm a fit 63-year-old!). And . . . those limits are few & far between, but I'm with my pup, the pup has fun, and Life is good.

Good job my four birds were youngins one looked like he just got some color a few days ago :eek:but lookin forward to chasin the oldtimers at firstlite.
:D

6 of us (1 a 12 year old that never pulled the trigger) hunted until 3 and got 6. Those were all shot before noon. Everyone was an older bird with white tipped spurs. Same fields that 7 of us limited on last year.

That said, there were more birds than I had expected, had a ton of points, the two roosters I got on my own were off of points, and they held for a long time, will post pics later. A lot of pointed hens which I hope is good for next year.
