Worked Christmas Eve and started coming down with the crud while at work that night. Get up Xmas morning, body aches, heavy chest, cough ect.

After a round of meds I STILL have this crap! Although no fever or body aches and I don't feel like crap anymore. I still have the cough, and a little heavy chest which makes breathing a bit more difficult. Got an inhaler from the Doc Saturday morning which helps quite a bit. Been doing the Mucinex DM and cough syrup as well.

Anyone else had the nasty stuff yet? I sure hope that by next weekend it's gone!

About stir crazy right now. I feel so badly for my dogs. I haven't even been able to get them out at all except to bring them in the garage on the cold nights.

Someone tell me the magic cure!

I had something over Thanksgiving, it sucked.

Hope you get feeling better and get to take the dogs out for some fun.

Wow! That's exactly what happened to me! My plan was to take off at noon on Christmas eve, and not go back until Monday (today) the following week. I started feeling it the Sunday before Christmas, and was full blown sick by that evening! The chills and fever were horrible, body aches, sinus running and congestion, horrible cough, and nausea but I never threw up. It did jack with my stomach pretty bad though.
So, same deal...I had a week off and managed 1/2 a day of hunting.
About 3 days prior to coming down with it, my daughter had it too, but she was puking too. My wife took her to the Doctor and she tested positive for Influenza-A,...(whatever that is). So, I started the Tamiflu almost immediately. Did it work? It's supposed to cut the symptoms by half, so how would you really know if it worked? If I had 1/2 of what I could have had, I'd have probably died!!
I also had to start antibiotics.

8 days later and I'm still hacking and coughing but not near as bad. It's definitely nasty stuff!
Hope you get well soon.

Sorry to hear you guys are getting sick. Best wishes to all of you for speedy recovery:thumbsup:

I'm headed out for a local hunt this morning. I'll have a report for those of you that are home-bound today.

I have the cough left over pretty much now. Sweat when I do things. But, I am up and making coffee, packing my cooler, and getting some water for Obie and I.

We are going to attempt to go hunting!

I got pneumonia the day after Thanksgiving and haven't been 100% since then! I feel much better now, but I still have a nagging cough and sometimes have to take a deep breath for no reason. I missed an entire week of work and couldn't even leave the house. Pretty much burned most of my PTO and didn't even get to hunt.
I guess I will just have to hunt extra next year!:)

I hope you all and the roosters both have a speedy recovery:thumbsup:

Best Wishes to all UPH'ers for the New Year!
