I can't disagree with anything on this list. At one time or another I've shot all the shotguns on the list except for the Benelli and the Ithaca 4E. To me, the sweetest of all is the Remington 32 with the Winchester 21 a close second. A few years ago I turned down a nice Rem 32 @$1600 because someone had shortened the stock. Dumb, dumd, dumb.

I believe I have read that list before.

The Superposed is a very fine gun.(had two of them) I do like the model 12 Winchester(own two of them) a awfully lot, along with the A5 Browning(own two of them). The 21 Winchester I have never handled but it's reputation alone is enough for me. The 37 Ithaca is a excellent gun.(had several)

I own a 500 Smith & Wesson

Love the model 70 Win.(had several), the Mauser, 99 Savage, 700 Remington(own one) and the Weatherby Mark V(own one)

The Ithaca 37 was a Browning design which he licensed to Ithaca. The present Browning BPS is the same gun. The Winchester 21 is rather heavy for a SxS, but it seems everyone who picks one up shoots it well. Sort of the way a Model 12 seems to fit nearly everyone.

The 21 I had the pleasure of shooting belonged to a friend who appreciated, and could afford fine shotguns. It was a Grand American out of the Custom Shop, gold inlayed, x-fancy wood, 5-barrel set. It was the same price as a top-of-the-line Mercedes.
 
John M had a lot of guns Pat. used by other gun company's. The man was a genius.
 
ithaca model 37 ultra feather light would have been cool to see on the list. aluminum recievers knocking a full pound off of the weight of a gun. grouse hunting from sunrise to sunset, no problem.

The Ithaca 37 has a shorter stroke than the Browning BPS. I have both & don't use the BPS anymore. Of course the Ithaca is lighter also.
