Deep snow hunting?

Are you planning to hunt SD with the deep snow? Parts of SD appear to have 15" of snow and drifts in the groves up to eight feet!

Would think the areas to hunt would be limited...

Groves: Not palm trees for sure. Tree groves - areas of trees that are usually found around farms to protect from the snow and wind. I believe Iowa has these. Glad I could help you here...

Jonny, the SD season ended 1-3-10, maybe they have game farms or preserves that are open yet but the regular season has ended. FIO

Yep, tall cedars are a grove. Shelterbelt is another term or tree belt or tree grove.

I hope the birds fared well thru the cold/snow blast. I will be hunting SD for the first time next fall!

The warm weather has melted the snow down to bare dirt on tops of the hills. Really helps the birds find something to eat.
