Saw this mountain quail today above a creek...there getting big and plump!!!

We got up to our usual stomping grounds and got into a few good covies of 12 or more quail each before it got too hot. It was a beautiful day above the Rough fire smoke.

Ive got a deer tag as well, but I always bring home mountain quail instead

mountain quail hunting today in the sierra's

just a few miles up the rd....lot more snow, but birds were on the south slops where the sun melted most of the snow

Got 4 mountain quail within 10 mins, 4 shots, 4 quail..... couldnt believe it, 28er got it done

got in a Lil' fly fishing as well...
