Looks like some of that information hasn't been updated for 2016 -- like the text regarding the various regions still has some references to 2014. Regardless, it appears to be positive news in the sections that are updated.

Hah! They're working on it -- the 2014 references are now gone and the map has changed to show closed prairie chicken area.

Forecast isn't a surprise and is generally positive for the areas I hunt. However, I always learn something from the underlying documents--in this case the spring counts and the summer roadside counts. Normally both are available on the website, but I can't seem to find them this morning. Does anyone have them?

Data from summer brood survey is used for writing forecast but we focus on forecast first and don't start on full brood survey report until forecast is complete. Normally shoot for post date of Oct. 1 for brood report.
