The 2014 Wisconsin pheasant stamp has been chosen. Found it on the Pheasants Forever Facebook page.

Now if I could just find a way to get the actual stamp after I purchase it and not just words on my license stating I've purchased the stamp:rolleyes: Illinois and SD do the same thing to me every year:(

i know that i used to get actual pheasant stamps from the post office. I haven't in a couple years but they might still sell them???

That's a real nice picture! Does the money from the stamp go to habitat or is it used to raise and release birds?

I should leave that for the Wisconsin guys, but I'm sure Wisconsin pheasant stamp funds go to a similar use as they do here in IL. Funds are used for land, habitat, and the release program.;)

California does the same thing with our upland game stamp. You have to actually contact the F&W and pay shipping to get the actual stamp, otherwise its just words on a license.

im sure its like in MN in WI when you buy your hunting license & pheasant stamp validation they ask you do you want the actual stamp mailed to you??? same with MN turkey hunting...

they have never asked me that question. maybe they are supposed to and the people don't know?

Yeah, I don't think they know. In Wis and IL, both I've asked how to get the actual stamp once I've paid for a stamp/stamps. No one has ever had any idea as to how to get them:confused:. A few years back I called and emailed the ILDNR but never heard back from anyone.

I just kinda gave up on the issue a few years ago. Even so, we're purchasing a stamp and not getting what we've paid for:( What a raw-deal. lol

FYI:

i just called a couple places that sell licenses and nobody has the actual stamps.

they both told me to try the post office or an actual DNR location.

Man, I just bought my federal waterfowl stamp at the post office. Didn't dawn on me to ask if they sold state stamps too:rolleyes: Next time. lol

I am almost certain that post offices don't sell any of the state stamps.

I would bet that the "Stamp" is only a fee collection at this point and they have kept the tradition of selecting art work for the ceremonial stamp but you can't get one any more. Saves them money yet you still pay.
