Well I got to come home for a couple days before going out to the next gun show. I only got Sunday afternoon off to hunt since I have been on the road for weeks and the wife had a list of chores at the house to address.
Took the 2 Britt's and the Lab to Jeff Co. to walk a couple of patches I saw birds in while deer hunting.
We first walked a quick fence row on a buddies new farm that he said had birds but we couldn't find them. We then went to my fall back farm that always produces and it did not let us down. About 80 yrds from the truck the dogs got birdy and then I heard the covey flush wild. I got lucky and know where they went so we then proceeded to have a point and shoot session. Out of the 12-15 bird covey we had 6 points and 2 male bob's taken with a couple of good shoots in the thicket. Birds delivered to hand by Ellie my momma Britt. :10sign:
All in all it was a good season for us. Went out a few times and got into bird's each time. With a total for 2 roosters and 2 quail in the season bag. Hell if you looks at stat's alone I was up 150% from 2012.
Now we wait till Thunder Chicken Season!!!!!!
