My go to load for 12 ga is the Fiocchi Golden Pheasant. Also the high velocity variation is outstanding!

Just got back from Kansas shot herter 16s number 5s they crushed the pheasants.

For those of you that like a little lower velocity, a load to consider would be the Kent FastLead Upland round with their Diamond shot. It's 1 oz. at 1,220 fps. I've use some of these in #6 shot on both Sharptails and Pheasants and they worked very well. They only come in 6 and 7.5 shot.

Federal premium wing shok 1 1/8 premium #5 pretty good for the wild birds. If you are shooting pen birds in South Dakota 1 oz cheap game load 6's will work.
