Trying to get my nephew a bird

The only way for him to get better, take him hunting more often.

Are you better at sporting clays or wild birds?

When goose moves to Duluth we can have the ultimate pheasant sporting clay fun shoot at old Vermilion. I will be there with bells on. Unless he brings his cousin.

Are you better at sporting clays or wild birds?

That's happened to me this year as well! I had one yesterday that was the closest crossing type flush I've ever had. I had to wait him out which is rare, and then I still missed. Good thing my buddy backed me up on that one! Very end of day and ended on a good note.

I gotta let the cat outta the bag

One thing about South Dakota. It always gets pumped up on pheasant hunting, which can be misleading because you still have to work for them. But man, you get west of webster and every pond, puddle, lake and cattle tank is full of ducks. I really don't think North Dakota can hold a candle to it...

    same with feral cats.

How many birds do you shoot in a season?

We did that in North Dakota once, then a guy came out on a 4-wheeler screaming his head off at us. We were legal, I think he just got a charge out of yelling at us and ruining our hunt. He wasn't even the land owner. Maybe had a lease? He never said. A dirt bag either way.

    Released birds on public land

In MN, no need for that. State is going to hell in most aspects, but no releasing of flare nares.

    The flush

Just carry the 28 and you won't have to worry 'bout a thing.

    Something different…

I'm pretty sure in the Bible it states "thou shalt hang thy birds in temps of 55° or less for 3 to 5 days, 6 if he was shot-ith on the Sabbath."

    Something different…

Man, no wonder Molly is always pissed at you. Only letting her chase young roosters with short tails that can barely cackle. I've got it on good authority from a couple black labs they love nothing better than scenting up a wise old bird, launching him airborne to be smacked by a load of #5s...

    The flush

I can't spill the beans on A5's spots. He grew up there, has a bunch of coveys pegged.

    The flush

Only aberdeen, marshal, redfield, the fort Pierre national grasslands and Yankton if we're talking bobwhites.

    The flush

Nope. I refuse to allow pen raised birds in my videos, I've never hired a hunting guide, don't message people on social media for hunting spots, hunt 95% public ground, and usually hunt only on weekends. Oh, and I don't shill for any $$$ product endorsements or hotspot locations.

If it's the guy I'm thinking of he needs to go on a diet.

    Different states WIA programs

Those CHAP pieces are they for big game hunters only or require registration? I agree CREP is awesome. MN has CREP too, but it is not huntable without permission from owner. MN has WIA and Iowa has IHAP and both can be good. I hope the programs continue to grow. One thing I learned about SD...

    The flush

They should do an episode entirely on hunting the public right of way.
