I picked up a little pre Christmas present for myself. I got a Stevens 555 20 gauge O/U with a 26 inch barrel. Dicks Sporting Goods had them on sale for $499 with a mail in rebate. I am amazed at how light this gun is and am really looking forward to getting out into the field and trying it out.

I'm going hunting for the first time in the UP. We will be hunting a combination of private, Federal and State land. To the best of my knowledge as long as you are not hunting waterfowl you can still use lead shot in Michigan. Is that also the case for Federal land? Thank you.
