    How many birds each season?

I sincerely envy all you guys that live in prime pheasant states and take advantage of that. Here in Michigan, the wild birds are very far and few between. I think it's awesome that you're able to pursue this passion of pheasant hunting so proficiently. With that many wild birds in the...

Trying to get my nephew a bird

Maybe shoot trap with him rather than skeet or sporting clays. I've found trap to best simulate wild pheasant hunting behind a dog. I have a Brittany so that's different than your situation.

    Handicapped pheasant hunting

You might have better luck if you do a google search or get on the Michigan Sportsman's Forum. I live in southeast Michigan so I'm not familiar with your area. Good luck. Frank

    Lack of post/lack of birds

Yes there are. After demolition of tens of thousands of dilapidated/vacant homes and other structures, a fair bit of the city has reverted back to grassland. I wish our DNR would consider trapping these birds and releasing them in areas of the state with some habitat to allow birds to regain a...

    870 Wingmaster

Call a local gunshop for parts. You might be surprised at what they have in storage. Very recently I looked everywhere online for a new magazine tube spring and retainer for my 1985 870 Magnum 12 ga. I found the spring at a local gunshop and the retainer on E-Bay of all places. Frank

    SW Nebraska

Munster, As stated by hunter94 the STATE of SD does not release birds. I believe the private clubs/lodges are required to release birds throughout the season to replenish birds harvested on their grounds/operations. I've hunted SD a few times (I'm from Michigan) and there are numerous public...

    Todays Hunt - 2020 Season

PTM, Congratulations on an outstanding season! Your photography is spectacular, thanks for sharing! Being from Michigan I am truly amazed at your success. It would take at least 3-seasons worth of serious public ground hunting just to SEE the number of roosters you have bagged this year. If I...

What do you guys do with the tail feathers?

Take one from each wild bird I bag to my dad's gravesite. He enjoyed pheasant hunting and introduced me to this grand sport many years ago.
