    Woodcock/grouse

There used to be some in the Driftless area but not sure any longer. There were also some in the Northern Kettle but I haven't seen one there in 40 years.

    Woodcock/grouse

Not going to find many, if any grouse in Southern WI. Timberdoodle are a different story. Have to catch them where they are. Southern or Northern Kettle Moraine would be good spots. Some of the other swampy public lands. https://apps.dnr.wi.gov/exploreoutdoors/

Help me plan a trip to NoDak

In the OnX app it shows in some areas roads (or dirt tracks or something) that it labels, Private Road. I'm assuming it might be farm lanes or something and if it is in a PLOTS or Trust land i should not drive on it. Stay on the section roads?

Help me plan a trip to NoDak

Another stupid question. PLOTS land is walk in only (I believe). I have found some that have Private Roads. Can I drive on them or would I need to stay on the main roads?

    Hand Signals

The dog in my photo worked exclusively with hand signals. He didn't want to hear anyone in the field. He'd glance back at me and if I wanted him to do something gave him a signal one way or another. When we hunted with the yellers and screamers, he'd go back to the truck. Seriously.

    Indiana hunting lottery

Yes, and that one was probably about the 2nd worst I have hunted in. Friend got picked to hunt Kirsch NW of Boswell and we probably kicked up 150. We didn't shoot much as we didn't want to limit out too fast. That was the best place I hunted. Did a spot 15 years ago NE of Fowler. That was good...

    Late 1950s Sweet 16

And jam, and jam and jam. At least they do for the several friends I hunt with who carry them. My Beretta O/U has never had one jam, misfire, issue in 30 years of hunting everything from bobs to geese. (Waiting patiently for all the A5 jam lovers to reply!!! LOL)

    New Rescue (with Update)

I adopted my current Brittany from someone I know who for various reasons stopped hunting when the dog was about 15 months old. Kept him in a raised pen for most of the next 1.5yrs. My wife and i did a prison break and got him out. He felt bad about the dogs circumstances and so did we. Great...

    Soybean price helps habitat

A tariff here means nothing. We don't place a tariff on our own beans bound for export. That beans are worth less because of US tariffs is actually not a fact but a supposition. Our beans will simply go to the normal Brazilian customers as China is buying from them. And I understand basis. I...

    Soybean price helps habitat

Ships can change course and do. Simply look at the example caused by the sanctions on Russia. The oil gets shipped, but ends up where there is demand. Same thing with beans.

KrazyGlue for sealing wounds. Surprised no one else carries it.

    Soybean price helps habitat

Your supposition is incorrect unless you believe that soybeans are an inelastic worldwide market where supply far out paces demand. Since we do not see millions of bushels of soybeans rotting in storage anywhere in the world, I don't think that can possibly be correct. It's like believing that...

    Drahthaar experiences

I hunt occasionally with a guy who has 2 Good duck dogs, pretty good upland dogs. Rough and tumble. Not dogs i would like in the house probably but I want a calm and smaller dog now. I've had bigger, crazier dogs in the house and don't desire that any longer.
