Bloody Nose

Walkers Run

Took my young Springer to South Dakota for wild Pheasants. Bird numbers were amazing, and so was the dog work. However his nose was getting cut from the grass I believe. Nothing serious. Has anyone else seen this and is there a prevention. Thanks

Yes, kinda like yer hands after running an axe or shovel handle when yer not used to it. They’ll tuffen up after awhile. Meantime you can put salve or something on there but it’ll prolly just get licked off.

My Vizsla's nose gets raw after a few days. I use bag balm or mushers secret for it. Just bought a roll on from Vetericyn called paws and snout to keep in my vest.

I just applied some Snout Soother to my dog a few minutes ago. Works good and supposedly doesn't mess with their ability to smell. He does love to try to lick it off however. But it does work.
