    Browning Citori 725

I had a chance to shoot a Browning Citori 725 12 GA Field model up in ND last weekend. I own a Citori 625 Field model, and use it mainly for clays due to being almost 8 lbs. The 725 does feel a little lighter and slimmer, although the difference is slight. The ammo tested was Rem Nitro Pheasant...

    Credibility ?

Amid the major recall of the new Remington Super-Max wonder shotgun, I still find magazines (GUNS/NRA Amer Hunter etc) extolling the virtues of these fine guns. New Fiocchi ammo at Running's

I usually buy the dogs Science Diet food at Running's. While there recently, I noticed some new Fiocchi shotshells called "Upland 34" on sale for $8.29. They were in an attractive black box with a neat looking label. The surprise was the amount of shot, 1 1/5 oz. That's no misprint! Last year...

    North Dakota opener

I was fortunate to hunt in ND for three days. On Sunday and Monday the temps were in the 70's, which was hard on the dogs. Fortunately, the limits came quickly. Today (Tue) the wakeup temp was 42 with a HARD wind, making the birds extra jumpy. For the first two days, the Citori 16 worked well...

Fed HV 16 GA Upland Load

I have been using the RIO 16 GA load with 1 1/8 oz #6 shot at 1300 fps with great results (I/C over I/C) the last two years, but noticed on the Federal website about a new 16 GA "Upland Load" with 1 1/8 oz shot at 1425 fps. I know we have all these new "wonder magic powders" but this looked like...

    Hello from Dakota

New forum member here. Been hunting pheasants in SD since 1971, and ND since 2005. Two pointing labs in the stable, a 10-yr old yellow male, and a 2-yr old black female. Usual hunting style is by individual or small group (1-3) with dogs hunting into the wind. Both dogs trained to move...
