I had one of those earlier this year. Walked all day and blew the one chance I had. Hit him but not hard. never found him and the only place the dog was remotely birdy was at a hole. It was deeper than what my arm could reach so I gave up on it.

Mine are indoors. Nothing wrong with having dogs outside either, just my preference.

Hmmm. I haven’t been able to find anything that looks like those on their website and the numbers you provided don’t pull anything either. Like you said probably discontinued. Seems to always be the case when you find something that works for a decent price.

You are correct in that I have no idea which one mine are. They are warmer than I like at times but I have stayed dry and free of thorns etc. I picked mine up at a show in a clearance bin so they weren’t marked but they have been well worth the $30 I spent on them

If I clean the birds same day I save hearts and livers. If I hang them I usually don’t. As for cooking I either fry or grill and they are yummy either way.

I would advise making sure you and your dogs have orange on and try to avoid the timbered areas. Other than that I hunt every year during rifle season and haven’t had any issues. Thinking of trying the nc area myself this weekend. Haven’t been there in a few years.
