    January Solo Hunt

Find yourself a pup Fallfreak. They bring great joy to the home (& grandchildren) and provide that extra push to get out and chase upland birds (& waterfowl in our case). The hard part is trying to perform as well as they do! Here's our early December addition, a surprise from my wife, and a...

    January Solo Hunt

Good morning guys, back from a five day solo trip. Did this last January as well, taking advantage of the extended season (& retirement). Last year's trip started with 3" of fresh snow, perfect! This trip featured no snow, except some residual drifting........enough in certain cases to show...

    2021 Pheasant Hunting Videos

Thank you GH, truly appreciate the offer. Pop would not fit in a medium, so thanks again for your kind offer. I've been using a Browning, with the velcro straps, and after 4- five day hunts, it is getting to the point where it should be replaced. I also have a Cuga vest as a back up, still new...

    Full gun cleaning

BrownDogsCan2, Found this on Shotgunworld, not sure if it will help................ My son bought a plastic stock Affinity 12 gauge as his first gun and even used it for his seventh grade trap season, before he bought himself one of the new SKB Century IIIs. It cycled everything from magnum...

    Full gun cleaning

P.S. Shotgunworld is a great source of information, and has categories specific to the manufacturer and gun model....................also a good thread under eye dominance right now in the general section

    Full gun cleaning

agreed Remy3424; that's the beauty of pumps. They simply don't require the cleaning and upkeep gas semi autos requires. I only tear down my pumps after the season, and have never found the need to dis-assemble a trigger assembly on any shotgun; I do clean the trigger assms, mainly using Q tips...

    Late Season Roosters Tactics

A fresh snow can really quiet down a cattail patch. That can really be fun, and have some great memories when that has occurred.

    Annual Late Season Hunt

Thanks Roadscholar, so thankful to spend time with my son chasing this glorious bird. Forgot to mention we did flush a lot of hens, probably 50/50 hens & roosters. Glad to see as good population of hens. We also had one of those heart shot birds mentioned on another thread here; although don't...

    Annual Late Season Hunt

Back with my son Erick after a very enjoyable five day hunt. Our buddy had a work conflict, so just the two of us and our Yellow lab Pop. She fully recovered from her sprained right front leg, and stitches from the fall hunt, and did not disappoint. She made a number of fabulous- crippled bird...

    Coldest hunt you've been on

Been on too many of those sub zero hunts to recall the worst, and as web guy said, the hands and feet are the victims; the hands especially for me. Never experienced a true white out until hunts in SD. about 7-8 years ago a big storm was coming in, and the wind was cranking. The snow started and...
