    Your "Go-To" gun and why?

Okay. Just so it is said. I am not a one gun guy. I do have and have had many upland guns, but for now it is my Citori Esprit as previously posted. When I am shooting dove with my grandson it is my Beretta A400 but it’s been a bit modified. LH Xplor with a Cole Gunsmithing trigger job and...

    Your "Go-To" gun and why?

I’ve always shot Citori Superlights. Started with a 20ga in 1979. Used a 24” Upland Special for a long time until I found that 28” tubes are much better for me (easier to swing). Then I found my Grail Gun. 12ga Citori Esprit European. It is my go to. When ever I open the safe and reach in...

    where’s Bob

As a member of other forums I think that the only thing for me that causes issue is insults and politics. Insults are the worst. No reason for it. We are all adults. I’m sure most would never say anything disparaging to someone in person over a hunting story or advice. Politics can get a...

    Retire my hat?

My wife wants me to retire my favorite hunting hat. I’ve had it since 2006. It has been on my head for 4 dogs, hundreds of miles, and lots of downed birds. It carry’s dust and dirt and sweat from 4 different states. I told her it wasn’t possible to retire it. I actually lock it in my...

    Lack of hens

Yeah had one sit tight last evening when we were out for a walk. I actually walked by her but my lab found her. It just seems to me in my area they’re a bit lacking. I’m sure I’ll find more as season progresses.

    Lack of hens

That’s good you were seeing them. Always concerns me when I see fewer hens than roosters. And they could have been feeding or somewhere else.

    Lack of hens

Maybe it is just me but I have noticed a lack of hens. I have seen 4 total where I generally see at least a dozen.

    Rain

I got out yesterday and managed to get back to some WIHA close to the house. Roads were pretty rutted up but they were mostly dry. First walk ran into a few birds. Second walk was my labs first solo. My springer turns ten this year and his age is starting to show. Both of the dogs work well...

    What would your reaction be?

Colorado DOW doesn’t give two hoots about residents. They’re tied to the mighty dollar and at $700 plus for a OS Bill tag I’m surprised they don’t have a NonRes only BEFORE the locals take to the woods.

    Rain

I went out this morning. Hit a couple of spots. Roads were a bit sporty in places. Ran across one hen and a rooster that was on the next property over.

    Rain

I-70 is closed now at Goodland due to over crowding in Burlington. Doesn’t look like it’s going to let up until tomorrow mid day. Hope everybody's safe and sound. I spent the night in the barn in Old Town Burlington during a blizzard a few years back. Not fun but at least it was dry.
