A5 20ga

They are nice, I wish mine had the more open grip rather than the tight pistol grip

I heard the 20's weigh more than the 16's do.
Not true according to Browning's Web site. Appears the 20s are a couple ounces lighter than the same model 16.

I just looked at their web site - saw none. Lots of Sweet 16's, however.
Jon, there are new A5 20's on GunBroker. I look yesterday. Remember the 20's (just like the older Auto 5's) are built on the 16 ga. frame. They are only a couple onces lighter than the SweetSixteens which I suppose is due to the smaller barrel.

Interesting, I see about a dozen of them for sale on Gunbroker, same as yesterday.....
Before you order one on GB, call the seller and make sure they have it in stock. Some of the sellers will put them on the site without actually having them in stock. I won a new gun a while back. Tried to contact the seller with no luck. No way I'm sending money without talking to them. Come to find out the guy had died, and the store closed.

I've bought dozens of guns on Gunbroker, never had a problem. I don't believe it's legal to post a gun without having it, Many of the new A5 20's show plenty of pictures of the actual firearm you will receive.

Hi George, Thanks for the update on the 20 ga. I'd like to mount/handle the new 20 ga. and serious about the gun. Have an issue with the new 16ga - only 2 3/4 shells, hence a smaller opening and harder for me to load; but I prefer the 16 stock configuration, more distance behind the trigger to place my grip/post. Both of these guns are high on my list as I sold my Browning Gold and Benelli...We could have a hunt at Granite Falls one day?

Yes...one of the best facilities I've ever hunted!
Yes. They have a very nice set of fields there. Terry and his wife are good people too. This last season was the first one I didn't go there. Brought my daughters there from 2011 to 2023, once each year, when out of town hunting wild birds, until they aged out of hunting with their dad. :cautious:

I found it completely by accident in the drought year of 2011. Took a wrong turn and drove by the place. Did a u-turn, and the rest was history. :giggle:

Really came in handy a couple years later, 2013, when it was like an oven outside. 80+ degrees, with a hot, dry wind, that opening Saturday. I think it wasn't quite as hot on Sunday, when we went to Heartland Preserve, but it sure was easier on the dogs to have pools of water available. Those were some dry years back then.

If you can find a 16 it’s extremely close to the the 20

I'm not following your issue with the 16 ga.
A hunt at Granite Falls would be good. I've known Terry and his dad, Richard for years. We had several NSTRA field trials there.
