I have numerous pairs of Kenetreks and Crispi boots and have never had any issues with water in them. I have had water get in them but that's from crossing streams etc where the water goes over the top of the boots, but as far as walking in wet grass I have never had a issue.

6 inches over a 2 week span isn't bad. If that was over 1-2 days I would be concerned.
