Nebraska Opener on Walk-In

Saw good bird numbers hunting walk-in in SW NE. Hunted CRP only although this year some stubble and stalks are in walk-in in that area. Most of the CRP had been disked this year and had strips of habitat plantings. Nice job NE wildlife authority.

BC,

Thank you for the report. Sounds like you had a good hunt.:)

Exceeded expectations. Dog was brilliant. :p Shooter, not so brilliant.

Just thought I would throw this out for you fellas, as you can see I am new around here and I was just reading some of the older threads.

The Nebraska Game and Parks is focusing on the South Western section of the state in an effort to bring the pheasant numbers up. The last issue of NebraskLand Magazine (November) has an in depth article about what is being done.

Also if you are up around Harlin County you might be interested in this article.

Might be to late for this current season but something to keep in the back of your mind.
