How should I know? You were there! Why were they by the corn? No clue. But something made beans preferable to corn. Had to have been safer, easier, or both. If you have any reasonable guesses, let us know. Unreasonable ones too.

I think it's most likely they all wanted to end the day sitting around a campfire doing a pheasant rendition of "blazing saddles"

Yes. B.jones.he does not mind thick cover.he usually retrieves,good nose but has trouble in dry condition.

well... the first trip went well... find a field with picked corn surrounding and keep up with the dog.... in the evening Just be in a field. Standing corn or not..... definetly the earliest in the day we have ever been done. Back in early December. Hoping for a shot of snow the night before we arrive then a dusting or so every evening after. Not to much to ask right ?

1 had decent spurs. I think both spots were sloppy 2nd's but we got it done. I started around 11:30 and probably had my 3birds by 1:15ish. Spent awhile trying to find a duck to harass but not luck.
