Quail Whistles up for 2020

That’s definitely the case in my part of southeast Kansas. I wasn’t around for the glory days of quail hunting back in the 50’s and 60’s. But as for the recent quail boom we’ve had for the past 5 or so years, I’ve heard more whistling and seen more quail this spring and summer than I ever have. I’m out at the farm listening to a few birds whistling right now!

Glory days in the 60's when Joey "Doves" Aiuppa came to the area for birds, lots of them?
 
Not surprised. Saw more quail than pheasant in NW last season.
 
I have been seeing and hearing a bunch of quail in the NE region as well. I saw 3 pairs on one road over a two mile trip. encouraging for sure!
