Ranger went missing around 12:30 pm today. He is wearing a bright orange collar with identification tags. He was last seen south of Yuma at County Road P and 24 (See attached Pic) He is very friendly and approachable. Please spread the word so we can find my boy. He is neutered, about 40 lbs with liver and white with some ticking.

Update: Ranger was found, happy ending.

Thank you

I don't have a facebook or twitter account. If I did, wouldn't I need some followers to get the word out?

Thank you very much, all help is greatly appreciated. He also has microchip and wearing a red e-collar.

You don't need to get pissy about it. I was just trying to help and offer some suggestions that might assist in getting your dog back.

Hey Zeb, I greatly appreciate the feedback and suggestions. Please don't think I was showing any attitude or disrespect towards you, definitely not my intentions. I probably put on 10 miles on foot and 10 miles by car yesterday looking for him and I was totally drained both physically and emotionally. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I don't use either social networks so I don't know so I was trying to ask politely what I need to do.

If you haven't already done so, notify the County Sheriff's office and also any ranchers in the area. Put up posters in any surrounding towns, bars, convenience stores, gas stations. I've always heard to leave your hunting jacket where you were last parked. Good luck and I hope you get him back soon. Once you get him back go invest in a GPS collar.

I will alert two friends who live in Yuma. I am sorry for your angst. I am sure that you will get him back today.

The answer to the Facebook question .. there are pages that are dedicated to lost Pets . If you post to those the persons that manage it will help push it. I lost my lab once and that did help... But probably works way better in the city than out that way. It still requires shares from people in the area.

Would really think with the microchip youll get him back. I oint even know if Yuma has an animal shelter so not sure who would read the chip. Sheriff office advice was great

I used to hunt that property with a hunt club before it was walk in. But damn it, I can't remember the landowner name. :( course, onx maps probably tells you.

Good luck. I know it's a sick feeling. Well be praying.

Jack, get on Facebook and join Colorado Pheasant Hunters. The page is run by Derek-Eliza Marlor. Please post everything including pictures. Let's find him today.

There is also a Facebook page "Colorado Lost & Found Pets". However it appears you have to be the owner or guardian to post on their site so I was unable to post for you. Maybe someone else can.

Greatly appreciate all your prayers and positive thoughts, very happy to tell everyone Ranger is back with us. We found him while taping posters one last time near where I lost him yesterday. I was yelling for him and he heard me a half mile away and started howling. Drove up to where we heard the howling and he ran from the brush happy to see us.

Congratulations. Now, take him by the collar, kneel down, and look him in the eyes, and say, very sternly: "Don't do that again!" :)

Then, get the GPS.

I love happy endings. Congratulations.
