We had a great first time trip to Ks this year. Got into lots of birds saw lots of wildlife... and met some of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.
We were met by the snowstorm I bought from Idaho that was with us all the way from DEN to Colby. Hunted our way to WaKeeney and stayed there 3 nights and had wonderful weather. Moved to Hays. And then finished up by headed north then back West.
Hunted first 2 days with just 3 guys. Put up plenty of birds but the city guys I was with had some trouble with the guns.
3rd day we were blessed to hook up with a great guy that had a couple of dogs and had a great time from there on out. I was very pleasantly surprised with the number of quail in the mix as well. Just wanted to say hey and thanks again to those here that shared to make our first experience in Ks great. Even got to watch the Boise state game in Hays @ Thirsty's.
