Trespass Fee - Winner, SD area(s)

Hey all - This thread has undoubtedly been put up here before, but I couldn't find it. I typically hunt Kansas and Nebraska, but things there are no bueno right now. I am considering a trip to southern SD in November and would like to pay a reasonable trespass fee to a reputable farmer/rancher/outfitter. The money isn't my primary concern; my concern is not using a commercial outfit (farmer preferred) and since it will be me and (maybe) one more, a place that doesn't require 12 guys to book a hunt (or force me to hunt with 6 guys I don't know). Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

My dad, myself, and my 12yo are seeking the same sort of arrangement in a different area. I started by visiting Chamber of Commerce pages for a few different towns and I've already got a few leads. Some of the numbers listed on one CofC page were names of family ranches. Ofcourse none of them came with reviews and you may luck out here b/c someone may be able to vouch for a particular owner/operator.

Good luck!

We actually found the name of a local guy on a bathroom wall above the urinal last year. He knew all the local guys. The cost was $125 per person per day. $25 of that went to the man and the other $100 to the land owner.

When my buddy walked out of the bathroom with a phone number, all I could do was laugh. We hit it up one day and limited.

Classic:D The story is of more value than the limit:thumbsup:

........"For a good time, call Hal "......I thought you were going to say the $25.00 went to the guy in barrel!. Glad it worked, new prospecting tool!

Ironically enough, this is exactly the situation I am looking for. Local guy who the farmers like. Guess I will check the stalls when I get up there!!
