They are very similar looking. I'm hoping son doesn't get quite as big as pops(70+lbs of solid muscle) but they are both very attractive dogs.

I hear you on the tired part. Problem is the pup lays around and sleeps all day and then is amped up when everyone gets home in the evenings. Oh well, good problems to have.:)
 
Sorry to you and your son for your loss. I hope you find your new friend and hunting companion soon. It will be fun for your son to be involved with the training of the new pup.

I actually started this thread back in the summer. I was just updating my search and posted some pics of the new dogs. Probably should have started a new thread and saved the confusion. Thanks for the help though, that is a beautiful little black lab puppy.
